Hi there! I am Ariel Mencarelli, a (mostly) self-taught illustrator living in Northern Colorado. My art strives to capture a sense of playful whimsy with themes informed by nature.

My mediums of choice include pen and ink, watercolor and gouache, as well as drawing digitally on an iPad with Procreate. I love capturing memories and inspiration while sketching on location in nature, or while traveling in an urban setting.

When not drawing, I can be found on my bicycle, baking bread, hiking and camping, enjoying a cozy cup of coffee or tea, reading (especially about dinosaurs), or spending time with my husband and two kids.
