Hi there! I am Ariel Mencarelli, a (mostly) self-taught illustrator living in Northern Colorado. My art strives to capture a sense of whimsy and humor in the fantastic and the mundane.

My mediums of choice include pen and ink, watercolor and gouache (though spelling it is the worst), as well as drawing digitally on an iPad with Procreate. Sketching my kids’ crazy dance moves and action shots is a particular favorite subject.

Besides drawing, I am low-key obsessed with bicycles, baking bread, hiking, coffee, outer space, cute robots, mountains, fluffy cats, dinosaurs, camping gear, and collecting more fountain pens, inks and sketchbooks.
